The Song Sparrows and Dark-Eyed Juncos arrived on Friday, March 27th. Last year they arrived together, too. They seem to be great friends and have a lot in common. In 1915 the students at McNutt's Island School reported that the Song Sparrow arrived on April 15th. I expect it has been arriving in the spring for a long time, even when nobody made a note of it.
