In May 2011, after four years of life on McNutt's Island, we moved to Montreal. This blog remains, though, as a (sort of) daily record of our time on the island, and a winding path for anyone who would like to meander about among its magical places. For additional perspectives and insights I recommend Greg's book, Island Year: Finding Nova Scotia (2010), and my Bowl of Light (2012). I'll continue to post once in a while. If you do want to read this blog, one option would be to begin at the beginning of it (which is, as we all know, in blog-world, at the end), and read forward, concluding with the most recent entry. It's a journal, really, so it does makes more sense if you read it that way. But, you know, read it any way you like.

rainy days

The past day or two has been filled with rain and house-rattling wind.
Rain 2
Now the wind has died away and it's just rain.
We keep the wood stove going and turn to our rainy day activities.

Anne and Greg, your feedburner feeds aren't working or updating; my list of blogs insists you haven't published for a year, which I know is incorrect. Not sure what to suggest to fix it, unless feedburner isn't work right. Another friend's blog seems to have gone wonky as well. Hope all is okay down there, with all this wind and rain...

Jodi, I've tried various options offered by feedburner & none seems to solve this issue. After you wrote I tried resynching again. Maybe it will work. Who knows? Not I. As for rain & wind: it apparently is planning to go on forever. We hope you are okay too!
